ACCESS STATEMENT

Booking and Deposit:
We require a non-refundable 25% deposit to confirm a reservation. We will give our bank details for you to arrange a bank transfer or we can accept a cheque (up to 14 days before arrival). The balance is due not less than six weeks before the holiday begins. If we don't receive your balance by six weeks before the holiday begins we will assume you wish to cancel and your deposit will be forfeit. A £100 damages deposit is required for all Self Catering bookings and should be made by bank transfer prior to arrival or in cash when checking-in. B&B and Room Only guests will be charged for any damage or breakages prior to departure. Please ensure that you have carefully checked all your details as later amendments may not always be possible. We strongly recommend that you arrange travel insurance.
Amendments and cancellation:
If you need to amend your booking please let us know as soon as possible. We know things sometimes change and we want you to enjoy your stay with us, but although we will do our best to accommodate you, amendments may not always be possible or may incur additional charges, so please check your details carefully when booking. If you do need to cancel, for any reason, please give more than 6 weeks notice and, although your deposit is non-refundable, we won't make any further charges. If you cancel within between 3 and 6 weeks of the start of your holiday, we will charge you an additional 25%. If you cancel within 3 weeks or less we will charge 80% of your total booking value. No-shows will be charged in full. We strongly recommend that you arrange travel insurance.
Price:
The price includes the use of your reserved accommodation and the immediate grounds. Bed and Breakfast guests: We will provide a Continental Breakfast for your self service every morning.
Room-Only Guests: Guests staying in the Valley View room are reminded that reservations are for "Room Only" and are kindly requested to ensure the room is vacant between the hours of 10 am and 4.30 pm.
Damages and breakages:
Please let us know immediately if something is damaged or not working in the accommodation and please also let us know if you break anything. Any breakages, stains or damage will have to be paid for. Should the total cost of repair/replacement exceed the £100 damages deposit, we will expect full payment of the difference on your departure in cash.
Behavior:
Everyone should be able to enjoy their holiday. Please be sensitive and considerate about noise, parking and behavior. When you book with us, you and your guests undertake not to behave in any way that is dangerous, anti-social, and abusive or that may otherwise cause offence, damage or nuisance to persons or property. We reserve the right to ask any guest to leave and to cancel their booking should they behave unacceptably, as described. They will not be entitled to any refund or compensation whatsoever.
Arrival and Departure:
Your accommodation will be available from 3 pm on the day of your arrival. Please let us know your estimated arrival time as we like to welcome all our guests personally. On the day of departure, please vacate by 10 am, and leave the property clean and tidy.
Cleaning:
We know how important cleanliness is to your holiday enjoyment, and we take pride in working to very high standards indeed to make sure it is spotless for your arrival. If there are any problems with cleanliness at all, please let us know straight away. Please leave the property in good order, clean and tidy so we have time to make it exceptional for the next guests, as the people before did for you. A charge will apply if extra cleaning is required during or at the end of your stay.
Non-Availability of Accommodation:
We would only cancel your accommodation under exceptional circumstances, for reasons beyond our control. In the event that we are unable to proceed with your booking we will do our utmost to find you alternative accommodation, or, if this is not possible or acceptable to you, to offer you a full refund. Our liability would not extend beyond this.
Pets:
Well behaved small dogs only are welcome with prior notification and we ask that they are kept on a lead at all times. Pets must not be allowed on the furniture and wet animals should not be taken into the accommodation under any circumstances. ALL fouling must be disposed of immediately and appropriately.
Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted in any part of the property.
Liability:
May Hill View can accept no responsibility in regards to damage caused while using the property or parking area. We accept no liability for damage to persons or property during your stay with us, except where proven through the negligence of ourselves. We recommend that you arrange travel insurance.
Data Protection Policy:
We will keep your information securely and fairly and we will only share your details with any third party that you have given permission for, or in order to comply with the law.
Environmental Policy:
As a business, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. We try to make as little adverse impact on the environment as we can - we would ask you to do the same whilst staying with us by being thoughtful about lights, heating and water.
